My memories with Dave center around playing basketball, singing and trying to meet girls.
I read in my journal about a time we were driving around in "the Coburn's Wagoneer" and we went to play slam at one of the elementary schools. In the middle of the day, we "borrowed" one of the neighbors nets off their hoop, used it when we played, and put it back when we were done.
We would sing at each others missionary farewells, usually "I Heard Him Come".
Dave and Todd really knew how to sing, the rest of us just tried to follow them.
One time I was asked to a dance, and to say yes Dave, Todd, Greg, Jason, Brad and Derin all painted letters on their chests spelling out the girl's name, and sang to her.
I also have great memories of DDT, and performing "Born to Sit on the Bench".
I remember Saturday night dances and wondering what it was about Dave, it seemed like all the girls liked Dave and I remember getting jealous of that sometimes.
Our prayers are with his wife, daughters and everyone involved.

Big D...how are you doing? I love the photos. I really like my colorful shorts. It's funny you mention Dave helping out with answering girls that invited us to dances. I ran into Marrianne Ferguson (meridian) last night and she told me that she remembered Dave because he sang at her doorstep to say "yes" for me to attend a meridian dance with her. Nothing beat the "chick" cruisin with Dave.
Aaah, "the Coburn Wagoneer" brings back a memory or two...
Dave 'may or may not' have mowed over a few snowmen in that thing one night.
I 'may or may not' have hid quietly in the back of that wagon when Dave was on a date once.
We certainly hit the slopes a few times in that classic Jeep.
Ah, Jason, I still remember hearing about the "alleged" snowman demolitions in the Wagoneer. Classic Dave.
classic pics...to funny
